So I wore a lot more NY & Co that I have in a while. Funny that today was the 50% off everything in the store sale! I stopped by after work to see what I could find. I had been eyeing the 7th Avenue Cropped Pant. I tried them on and since I'm so short, they did not look right on me AT ALL! Plus it was big in the waist, but fine in the thigh--then flared out strangely at the bottom. I'm sure if someone who was over say 5'5" wore these, they would fit better. I did purchase another watch and a white cami, for a total of $20 bucks! I may check out a larger NY&Co location to see if I can find some other items.

My big news of today definitely has to be my prescription sunnies! I wore contacts from age 14 to 28. When I moved back to Florida, my allergies really kicked my butt. Wearing contacts was straight up painful. I've embraced glasses but really missed my sunglasses! Lenscrafters was hold their semi-annual 50% off lenses sale. It seemed like the perfect time to purchase a pair of prescription sunnies! I was slightly disappointed that I was limited in styles due to (1) the super strong prescription and (2) my small nose bridge. However I found a pair that worked for me! Take that Florida Sun!!

Wednesday 3.30

By the end of the day, I put on my black rainboots to brave the rainy commute home--no more ruined shoes :)

I can't seem to let go of these pants. They are much too big in the thigh and waist as I've stretched them out over the years. I really just need to order a replacement pair. I think NY&Co still carry these or similar. Do you do that? Hold onto those faves even if they aren't really flattering anymore?

So excited to be wearing my new top from Talbots! It has green, pink and purple--all favorite colors of mine (I pretty much love all colors!). I easily have 3 other cardigans that I could pair with this top. Yay for versatility :)

Shopping Hodgepodge

I gave up sugar for Lent and I think I'm satiating my sugar craving with shopping! I went to Hallmark and bought what I thought would be enough greeting cards to get us through mid April. This includes 2 Baby Shower cards, 1 1st birthday, 1 Christening, 1 Wedding Card and an Anniversary card for J. However I totally forgot to buy my niece and father-in-law's birthday cards! Eeeep. I love traditional greeting cards--my first job was at a Hallmark store in our local shopping mall.

I also picked up a cute new top at Talbots. On sale plus another 30% off! Total cost was just under $20.00.



This top will really go with quite a few items in my wardrobe, including my denim pencil skirt from Talbots.

I also picked up more dining linens (this is a sick obsession of mine!). These napkins are from the Dillard's Clearance Center.

Opps! I forgot to take a picture for Monday. I wish I could say I made up for it with a stellar photo of an amazing Tuesday outfit. However, I'm pretty disappointed in my outfit. Tucking shirts into slacks never look right on me (however skirts don't bother me?), but I do it anyways. Sorry for my negativity--here's hoping tomorrow's outfit is better!

My Birthday Weekend!

J and I celebrated my 33rd birthday on Amelia Island. It's a little less than an hour from Jacksonville, but really feels like a world away from our everyday life. We stayed at the amazing Addison on Amelia and dined at some great places. If you are interested in reading more about where we went, check out my list on Yelp. When we weren't eating or enjoying the Addison (including an intense Scrabble game while on our balcony), we poked around an antique market, 2 bookstores, and watched some locals play in their Petanque league. It was just the relaxing weekend we needed!
