Monday 5.9

I pulled a muscle in my back this weekend. So when it came time to pick out Monday's outfit, I had two requirements. (1) Flat shoes and (2) I didn't have to shave my legs. So with that in mind, I suppose this outfit is a score :)

I really liked J's outfit today. Honestly, I always like his outfits! I just forget to take a picture. He bought these Brooks Brothers pants this past weekend, at 25% off! He's really become fond of BB, especially the slim fit button-downs and pants.

I have a love/hate relationship with this dress. I love the light fabric and print. However, it accentuates my unfavorite part of my body (stomach), so I know I should donate it. Usually I can let go of clothes pretty easily, but I can't with this dress for some reason. I'm working on it!

I love this dress! Aside from the fun print, I like that I don't have to wear a cardi with it! Now, I love cardis, but even I get tired of seeing myself in them from time to time!

And I'm back!

I didn't plan to be a walking Talbots ad today, but here I am!

Rewind to a few years ago. If you had told me I would be wearing Talbots clothes and Naturalizer shoes, I would have been aghast. However, I'm enjoying the "modernization" of these two previously stodgy brands. Allie of Wardrobe Oxygen just posted about her most recent Talbots experience. Her skirt is especially lovely!

P.S. After I saw this picture this morning, I immediately went to flat iron my hair. YIKES.

Calypso for Target

I checked out the Calypso line from Target. The only thing I really liked was the below dress.



I like the pockets and the fact that was lined. (Correction--it is not lined, but the fabric has a good weight to it) I think it will work well for work.

I've been really into turquiose/teal lately. Like this bracelet I just got...



I think I have a problem. Perhaps a turquoise/teal shopping ban would help?
