I apologize for being MIA this week. Work has really been crazy and I have been feeling uninspired. I've also not been tweeting as much (shocker). However, I want to give my few readers a little gift.

You are welcome.

Saturday 4.23

J and I went with another couple to St. Augustine for dinner on Saturday. Our friends' parents and friends were docked at the marina so we enjoyed Happy Hour on their sailboat! After dinner, we went to their friends' boat for more fun. It was a gorgeous night and really makes me want to own a boat :)

I wish I would have packed my flip flops as getting on a sailboat in wedges is a tad difficult :/

Here is my OOTN from Saturday!

Dress: New Directions, Belk's
Shoes: Tory Burch
Necklace: NY & C0
Earrings: Charming Charlie
Bracelet: Premier

Shopping Fun!

Just wanted to share some fun purchases I've made in the past month!

I love the blog Fashion for the Economically Challenged. She has a pair of adorable pewter Me Too Flats. Every time she wears, I would find myself stalking the internet and my trifecta (Ross, Marshalls and TJ Maxx) to find a comparable pair. So when I stumbled on these shoes at the Dillard's Clearance Center, it was instant love. Best part? They were only $14.00!!

I attended a friend's Premier Jewelry party. It's hard not to leave without ordering a bauble or two. I don't remember exactly how much the earrings were because I actually ordered them a month ago!

I've really been into bracelets lately, When I spied the above bangles at their reasonable price point, I grabbed them up immediately!

I picked up this dress on sale at Belk's. The brand is New Directions, which I am assuming is an in-store brand. I loved the print and the cut. I felt instantly put together when I tried this on! It was 30% off and I think I paid just at $40.

Don't think I forgot J when I was out and about! I picked up this awesome Mario Batali Pizza pan at the Dillard's clearance center today. It was normally around $70 and I purchased it for $20! The box was pretty beat up, but the pan was still in its plastic in perfect condition!

Have you bought anything fun lately?

As you can see, I am a bit behind! Rather than 3 individual posts, I decided that this was another good way to use the collage feature on Picasa (if you haven't figured out, I'm OBSESSED!) I Wish I could tell you what happened to my Wednesday OOTD. I think I was pretty sleepy when I left the house, so I didn't realize I forgot until much later in the day.

Wednesday, 4.13

This dress is feeling kinda big up top! Either I stretched it out or those 5 lbs I've loss have come out of my top half (I really can't spare to lose any there LOL).

However, I think I'll try to shrink it in the dryer. I just bought this! I can't give it up yet!! I also have plans to shrink the cardi in hopes that it shortens up a few inches. Wishful thinking?

Dress/Cardi: Merona, Target
SHoes: Antonio Melani, Dillard's Clearance Center
Earrings: Gifted
Necklaces: NY& Co and F21

Catching up: Tuesday 4.12

The forecast had rain for yesterday, so I honestly did not want to spend much time on my outfit! If I could have gone to work in nylon shorts and a tank top, I would have :)

Shoes: Bandolino, TJ Maxx
Necklace: Gifted
Headband: F21

I can't believe I'm not wearing a cardi!!!!

The weekend

J and I had a pretty busy weekend. He was a groomsman in the wedding of our close friends on Saturday. I also had a baby shower to attend before the wedding! Luckily this is the last crazy weekend for a while. I didn't take an OOTD photo today, but I do have a picture from the weekend festivities!

I did not take a full length picture of the dress, but I found a picture online:

Thursday, 4.7

This outfit is all about Spring!

Cardi: Merona, Target
Shirt: Ann Taylor Loft
Skirt: J Crew, via consignment store
Shoes: Naturalizer
Necklace: Purchased at The Finicky Filly, Charleston, SC
Earrings: Stein Mart
Watch: NY&Co
Bangle: Premier
Bracelet: Gifted

However after I got to work, I felt like something was missing. First off, the cardigan is a little too long. A wash and dry should take care of that. When I asked my co-worker if she thought anything could be added, she recommended a belt. When I got home, I decided to try out a couple of looks. Since I'm somewhat new to the belting world, I need your help. Do you like any of the looks below? Should I scrap attempting the belt? Your help is appreciated!

Bonanno's or Barefoot!

My friend Tricia, her adorable son, S and I took a little road trip to Stuart, FL today. Why, you are asking, would be trek over 3.5 hours to Stuart for in the middle of the week? To get fitted for our first pair of Stephen Bonanno's!

As you can see from the top of the picture, it was a beautiful and sunny day!

We visited their boutique/factory location in Stuart. Since Bonanno's are custom made to order, we did not want to "guess" our size, only to find ourselves with the wrong one! While on a girl's trip to Charleston in January, we decided we would make the trip to Stuart. We saved our pennies and off we went!

The store and factory are located in an industrial park-ish just off Interstate 95. The store is very tiny, but well organized with sample shoes lining numerous shelves. I meant to take a picture, but I was so excited that I forgot! :/ It was great to see the shoes in person. The colors and leather are best seen in person, rather than via computer screen! The leather is kidskin leather and so soft and amazing!

Melanie (Mel) helped us figure out orders. First she helped us with the bottom (sole) size. Then we moved onto the top sandal size. I have challenged (i.e. CHUBBY) feet, so I knew a standard 7.5 all the way around would not work for me. Ends up that I am a 7 on the bottom and a 9 on the top!

We then picked out what styles we wanted. Originally, I wanted to order Emma's. In the past few weeks, however, I thought about ordering the Palm Beach Classic sandals. I tried on both styles in the store and I'm sure glad I did. I did not like the way the Palm Beach Classics looked on my feet! The Emmas were still cute, but not quite right for me. I ended up falling in love with the Tatianas. Here is a stealth cell phone picture I took of the shoe:

We selected our colors next. Mel brought out leather samples as well as color combo samples (pairings such as white/navy, pink/green etc), so we could see how the colors coordinate. After much deliberation and discussion, I selected the platinum sandals with gold whipstitch and gold monogram. I will not spoil what Tricia ordered as she may want to blog about it! :)

Mel was extremely patient and friendly as we peppered her with questions about fit and color. She really wanted to make sure the fit was perfect! We did not feel rushed at all and she really took the time to take care of us! She even let us get a sneak peak at three sandals that Stephen Bonanno designed for the Palm Beach 100th Anniversary. Not wanting to spoil it, let's just say Swavorski crystals were involved on one of them!

As we were paying out, she called Stephen Bonanno (!!!) himself in introduce us! He was just wonderful and thanked us for coming down from Jacksonville. Mel and Stephen were both incredibly gracious and thanked us for thinking of their company!

It was really a special experience to visit Stephen Bonanno Sandals. The service they provide and the product is top notch! We will get our sandals in 4-6 weeks, just in time for summer! Can't wait to share them with you on here!

I feel like I'm almost a walking Target ad today!

Dress/Belt/Necklace: Target
Cardi: Bealls
Shoes: Tory Burch
Earrings: World Market (Macgyvered by moi--click here to see what they originally looked like!

Today is the first time I'm wearing this necklace. I bought this necklace last year and never really found the right outfit to wear it with. I'm glad I hung onto it instead of donating it to Goodwill--I love it with this dress!

Dreaming in Color

Inspired by Taylor, I am on a quest for a non neutral shoe. I recently surveyed my shoe collection and saw a see of tan, black and brown. Unacceptable! Here are some shoes I'm considering. Any advice?
